Come on!

I love how people slow down... stop, THEN turn on their turn signal. It's almost worse than not using it at all!

People! Use your turn signal before you need to hit the brake to slow down. It's supposed to be a warning for drivers behind you.

Jeez...

New Toy

I did it. I just bought myself my Christmas present. A Nikon D50 digital SLR. Just mucking around in my office, I took this picture of the coffee cup on my desk. I like it. The camera is awesome. I can't wait to just start screwing around with it.

Now I have to go on Ebay and find someone dumping nice Nikon lenses!!

Movies

I watched most of "Repo Man" the other night. It's one of those movies that isn't really funny while your watching it, but afterwards, when you remember all the lines, it's hilarious.

Hi

I'm Matt. I go by "Globular" online because I used to be into amateur astronomy, and I like globular clusters. I also happen to work at a major astrophysics lab doing computer system management, so that's cool. The image is one (actually several smushed together) I took of M22, a cluster in Sagitarius.

But I'm into many other things. Chess, bigtime. I have a seperate chess blog for that. TiVo, computers (mostly Linux related stuff), and all kinds of other crap fills my head from time to time, so I'll be happty to dump it here.

I live in Arlington, MA, USA. Married, with three kids; nine year old boy/girl twins and a five year old boy. No pets. There won't be any cuddly kitty pictures in this blog!
